Job description
Join Umano Medical as our Service Technician in Australia and become the key person ensuring smooth field operations, equipment servicing, and exceptional customer experience. You’ll be the primary contact for our clients, especially in the Newcastle area—handling onsite maintenance, installations, product servicing, and day‑to‑day operational coordination to keep everything running seamlessly.
More specifically, here’s what your day might look like
- Take and manage service calls, ensuring timely responses and effective resolution of customer issues.
- Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on our products at various customer sites.
- Support product deliveries and commissioning activities.
- Participate in training service subcontractors and, when required, technical staff in hospitals.
- Handle customer service requests, including complaints (processes, tools, and documentation).
- Process orders received for parts or service related to Umano Medical products.
- Ensure complete follow‑up with customers from the initial request to the completed repair, to ensure full customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate documentation for all service cases and service requests.
- Complete analysis and follow‑up reports after customer site visits.
- Provide technical support to service clerks and subcontractors.
- Monitor and analyze parts inventory.
- Perform any other related duties.

Essential qualifications
- DEC or Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or any equivalent combination of training and experience relevant to the position
- Strong problem‑solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Experience in after‑sales service or customer service
- Experience in product repair and technical support
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook
- Willingness to travel
